70 Awesome Examples Of Street Photography | stylishwebdesigner
70 Awesome Examples Of Street Photography | stylishwebdesigner
So I came across this site when I was going through all of my Google Alerts and it's really nice. It shows 70 examples of street photography and they are all AMAZING examples. I also read a discussion about why people love doing street photography and it got me thinking about why I love street photography.
First of all, some of the posts in the discussion talked about capturing the monotonous-ness of daily life. How street photographers like to capture the looks on peoples faces in reaction to what they are thinking about. That is a good reason to me because that is exactly why I love street photography.
I love people having--what I like to call--'solitary moments.' One person in a shot doing whatever they are doing in that fraction of a second that I happen to take a picture of them.
I remember once when I was in Orlando exploring downtown a little bit, there was this woman pacing back and forth, back and forth. She looked so upset. I was kind of fascinated by her anger at whatever she what thinking about. Then she did something--and I wasn't ready (of course)--she stopped behind a tree and leaned forward a little so that just her head was showing and she was shouting at somebody or something. I captured her moment walking away from shouting like that but it wasn't the same.
These are the moments that make street photography worth something. I always wonder why someone has a look on their face and what they are thinking about to make them have that look. I make up little stories about them, too.

Hey all!
Welcome to my very first blog post!
My name is Casey Griffin, I'm a photographer, I'm 22 years young as of tomorrow, and I will be attending the University of North Florida in August to study more photography.
I will post photos and whatnot a little later. Once I get the hang of this thing!
